We've written poems for all occasions
Poems of triumph and defeat
But we've yet to write a poem
About our neighbors across the street.

You really know it's moving day
In spite of all the heat
When you visit our new neighbors
Getting settled across the street.

We haven't known them very long
But we think they're pretty neat
We wish them worlds of happiness
In their new house across the street.

There's nothing like fellowship
Of Christian friends we meet
We're looking forward to happy times
With our new neighbors across the street.

I think this is enough for now
Dear friends across the street
Enjoy your home and ours, too
Becky, Brian and Pete.
